Phyllis Ayman, a dementia care specialist, will explore how Alzheimer's Disease has been depicted in film .Every 67 seconds someone in the United States is diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and it is estimated that nearly 500,000 new cases of Alzheimer's disease will be diagnosed this year. Alzheimer's Disease is the most common form of dementia and almost every person either has had someone in their family, has someone among their friends, or knows someone who has had someone in their family or among their friends diagnosed. But as a society, how do we view people with this dreaded disease? Looking forward to comments and questions from the viewing and listening audience.
