Herman Mendoza
Mischief Maker Interview on May 6, 2026
Herman Mendoza is a former New York drug lord turned author and speaker. He inspires audiences worldwide. Speaking at universities, conferences, and before global leaders. Showing that no past defines your future.
Herman speaks nationally and internationally more than 100 times a year on college campuses, conferences, and prisons — spanning four continents. He is the author of a memoir titled: Shifting Shadows. Mendoza lives on Long Island in New York with his wife Alexandra. His three children: Samantha, Adam and Penelope, participate in his ministry. Mendoza is a proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Chase, Eden, Iann and Ace.
Herman Mendoza's book SHIFTING SHADOWS reads like a John Grisham novel but his story is real as real can be. This gripping narrative traces the authors life of drugs, drug selling, crime and prison to a transformation. It can be a cliche to say a book is a "page turner." But not in this case. Every prisoner, literally and psychologically, needs to read this amazing story. It can be a life saver.
